Great service and price
I have been a loyal customer here, but I'll never go back again. Went in for a simple inspection and was failed due to window tinting that hadn't changed And passed inspection every single past year. Very upset bout the way I've been treated. Also charged an additional $10 to fail my inspection. No thank you.
Rick was extremely helpful with our car. I wish more auto shop had the Rick's professionalism and courtesy and quality of service.
My family has been going to O’Learys ever since we moved to Hampstead about a year ago. I drive a small hybrid SUV, and last week, I went to go get my oil changed. Walk in-walk out, right? Well, I came back to get my car, only for them to tell me my control arms were ripped and they were going to have to take off the bottom frame of my car to replace them; as well as my break pads being messed up. I am a 17 year old female who knows nothing about cars except for little research upon hearing this information, but nevertheless I believed the man at the front desk because he seemed trustworthy and friendly enough. When he gave me the estimate of what new break pads and control arms would be, the total came out to roughly 2000 dollars. Mhm. Yeah, that’s 1/4 of my total car value. As any smart person would do, I went to Wilmington Auto Wholesale to get a second opinion. They inspected my car and said that the only thing that needed replacing was the break pads. The lower control arms were completely fine and the men at O’Learys were lying. My total at Wilm Wholesale was 350 and my car is in perfect condition. I would not recommend anyone to go to O’Learys!! I had confidence that this was a good, honest, friendly business, but in return they used their sexist schemes and lied to me, almost tricking me into handing them 1,700 dollars for a problem that doesn’t exist.
The weekend of easter I was home from college and my car was making a weird noise. We brought it in since they were the only people open easter weekend. I dropped my car off in the morning and they knew I had to leave that day to head back to Charlotte and they didn't start looking at it until several hours after I had dropped off. I had recorded the noise my car was making since it only did it when the car had been sitting a while and one of the workers didn't want to listen to it. Finally I walked to the back to show the other worker and the man who wouldn't listen said it sounded different and wasn't the issue he thought it was. Bottom line and why I am writing this- they replaced several things and I left with a bill over $700. A month later, the car was making the same noise. I didn't want to bring it back because they obviously didn't do it right the first time, and I didn't trust them. Brought it to JS& J auto in Wilmington. They were so much better and fixed the issue. My car is running great now. Would highly recommend you taking your car somewhere else than here.
