The focus of Sweyer Property Management favors the property owner over the renters. We recently sold our home and rented while we looked for another house. We decided to purchase another house other than the one we rented and lived in for a year. We had over $800 of our deposit withheld when our lease expired. We were told that there was damage to the interior paint, which I would contribute to normal wear and tear. We were unable to clean the walls sufficiently because of cheap quality / flat paint which was used in the house. The house would have needed to be repainted when it was put on the market anyway. We had no recourse and feel that our deposit was used to offset that cost. I don’t recommend Sweyer Property Mgt. if you need a rental.

Rented a home in Holly Ridge through Sweyer and Linda Hansen. We did a 2 year lease. Wanted to rent for another year but , the home owners decided to sell. From the start to finish of our lease, Linda and Sweyer were amazing!! Maintenance request were promptly resolved and questions answered quickly. We followed the move in and move out instructions and received our entire deposit back. Highly recommend Linda Hansen and Sweyer to anybody. Truly a great experience!!
Tracy and Brooke made the process of renting our house out stress free. I was nervous about picking the right property management but I know we chose the best one with Sweyer. Our house was rented within a month of being on the market. I know we couldn't have that success with any other company. We haven't been with Sweyer for very long, but we love it so far! They got us into a precious house within a couple days of our first contact with them. We were still in transition between VA and NC, but the application and lease signging process was easier than we've ever experienced. Brooke and Carly were so quick to communicate back and forth with us and were extremely welcoming when we met them in person. They truly made us feel at home the first day in our new state and even gave us some great tips and recommendations to eating and living like "locals". Our property manager, Linda, was in touch with us within hours of getting the keys to make sure we were settling well.
We have had a great experience with Sweyer agency. My husband and I are recently married and have a child on the way and were in need of more space for our growing family. We found a cute, charming home and Carly has been great with showing us the home and keeping us updated through the whole process to let us know what was going on. We would recommend to any family and friends to go through Sweyer for a great experience for their renting needs. We couldn't be more happy and feeling secure through this whole process!
